The largest land biome in the world, the Taiga is a forest mainly composing of trees and shrubs found in the northern hemisphere. It is one of 3 forest biomes. There are many animals in summer, but in winter there alot of them are in hibernation. Taiga is Russian for “forest covered mountain”.
